DRONE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FL1 GRAND PRIX LIECHTENSTEIN: HIGH-SPEED IN THE HEART OF THE PRINCIPALITY

Drone – Championship – Pilots – Vaduz – Liechtenstein

The Principality of Liechtenstein will be the center of the drone racing world on the 1st – 3rd of September. The capital city Vaduz will transform into a race track for the 36 best drone pilots in the world. FL1 GP Liechtenstein is the second race of the 2017 calendar following a spectacular race on the Champs Elysees in Paris with 180`000 spectators where the fans experienced drone racing at its best right next to the track.

Vaduz (LIE) – Liechtenstein as “The Monaco of drone racing”: The Drone Champions AG, organizer and marketer of the Drone Champions League has its headquarter in Liechtenstein having a close bond personally and geographically to the Principality. Equivalent to the international racing spectacle of the Formula 1 in Monaco, the Drone Champions AG will put the drone racing sport during the next three years directly in the spotlight on the Parliament Court in Vaduz.

DCL will integrate the parliament & government buildings as part of the track with Vaduz Castle as a stunning backdrop. The track tailored specifically to Liechtenstein with artificial and existing obstacles will require maximum skill from the pilots. Used for the first time in the FL1 Grand Prix Liechtenstein, a 150m long cable cam will capture content along the track to translate the high-speeds to viewers at home.

Get to know the pilots: Within the eight team starting field are the most talented pilots hailing from all corners of the globe. Pilots are training in a variety of local FPV racing events before packing their bags for Liechtenstein. There will be autograph sessions as well as a meet & greet after the race to the fans can experience the drone racing stars.

Defending DCL Paris winners, FlyDuino Kiss Racing team from Germany, have their eye on the podium once again and are amped to get back on a DCL track. The Liechtenstein race will serve as a “home” race for Swiss racing team FPVracing.ch and they are thrilled to be racing in front of their own fans.

Special Guests: As Liechtenstein is cradled in the heart of alpine country, in attendance will be alpine ski legends and current stars. The ski pros will be showing off a different type of slalom talent as they are invited to test fly and show-race drones onsite.
